This listing is for 1 copper penny (weighs 3.1 grams) from the 1404 series of "Shire Hobbit Coins". They were released in 2004 (1404 in Tolkien years), and are spectacular. They have the Elm tree, and have been officially dubbed the Hlokartharantiin (1/4 Tharni). This is from the 1404 year of issue, and is brand new. It has a circulated or "antique" look to it though. It is slightly thinner than an American nickel, and roughly the same diameter as the nickel. As they are no longer being produced, this series of coins are very collectible, and getting very difficult to find.
