This listing is for 1 HOPE Token/Coin 2003 (approximately the size of a nickel) from the maker of the charming Lord of the Rings series of "Shire Hobbit Coins". The coin features a firefly on one side, with the center of its body raised slightly. The opposite side has the word "HOPE". This series of tokens/coins was made as a fundraising idea. The designer of these coins was making them, selling them, and then using all proceeds to donate to breast cancer survivors. I bought these coins in order to help him raise money for the cause. His idea was that they could be purchased as gifts for people that need hope in thier lives, in whatever capacity, not just cancer survivors or patients. Or they can just be held in your purse/wallet as a reminder to yourself to never lose hope. These are unfortunately not being made anymore, and are quite collectible, so get one while you can!These tokens/coins that he was making (no longer in production) were all made by hand on an old fashioned press. They are incredibly detailed, as you can see from the pictures.
